That's an old wives tale the over 150, it's a girl.... but I read that when you are in labor it's more of a predictor. When I was in labor we kept asking the different nurses if they thought it was going to be a boy or girl and they all said girl because they said that girls heartbeats tend to be really steady and were really predictable in their patterns with the contractions. And I did have a girl! At an office visit, one doctor said that she thought it was a girl based on the heartbeat because it was 150 and really steady, but when I asked her how certain she was she said 50/50.... :-)

hey, i thought that at the start of my pregnancy too. But it was wrong so i wouldnt use that as a guideline at all... i think its just an old wives tale.
You should google the 'chinese gender chart' and also thread one of your rings through a necklace and get someone to hold it above your belly and wait for it to move... if it moves in circles, its a boy and if it moves side to side its a girl. It has proven to be the most successful. I was also watching something on tv the other day about it and they rated it 10/10. everyone else i know, it worked so give it a try! and also try the calender that works well too! then an ultrasound to confirm! heeh goodluck!

No. It's an old wives tale. They say the higher the heartbeat that it is a girl (Normal heartrate is 120-160) With my son his was always around 155-160, and with my daughter it was always around 140-150.

As a general rule of thumg...over 150 is a girl...under is a boy. But that's not always right...the baby may be moving or sleeping etc.

not possibly. however the 1st version beanie toddlers are effectual considering they don't make those anymore with the 1st version tag. so as that they are fairly nicely worth approximately $15 from the beanies 10 years in the past

if you go by what the doctor tells you a higher heart beat is usually a girl. The later a boy. Remember though its not always accurate.

Both my sons had very different heart rates in utero. We definitely thought son number two would be a girl, based on heart rate. In fact, when my husband cried out, "It's a boy," i was actually shocked! (We never had ultrasound, on the advice of the physician, and I'm so glad we didn't. Why subject babies to that ULTRA sound?

I have heard that over 150 closer to 160 it is a girl. (which was true for me) Closer to 150 and under it is a boy (which was true for 2 of my friends.)
