Does a guys genitals smell like his armpits?

Is this supposed to be true? Im confused by how I should smell down there

Armpits tend to be more pungent than the genitals because they sweat more, and people apply deoderant to the area which makes them smell markedly more noticeable. Our body odour is dependant on the constituents of the sweat produced by the apocrine (sweat) glands. These are modified around the nipple, groin, genitalia and under the arm so that their secretions are likely to be especially pungent. To a lesser extent, the sweat glands on the cheeks, eyelids, ears, temple and scalp produce similar secretions. This is one reason why people may nuzzle up to those areas although they wouldn’t immediately seem to be erotic. So, the same compounds are responsible for the smells eminating from the groin and the armpits. However, like I said, the armpits are a combination of the sweat and natural odor plus the deoderant one applies. The groin, on the other hand, is the combination of the natural odor and traces of urine which undoubtedly leak into the underwear, etc.

No, your genitals should not smell at all if you shower daily. Generally any smell below is the result of poor wiping of your butt, not from the genitals. You can smell down there, if you don't wash well---but it does not smell like pits. Different glands, different smells. Some guys, or apparently quite a few, won't wash their penises off, and whether you have a foreskin or not, there are some small glands at the base of the head that can cause a nasty odor but only if you leave it alone for days at a time. Smells also occur after intercourse or masterbation, if you don't wash up. Do so, the smell may be slightly apparent to you, but I have on many occasions smelled guys when they were in the restroom that really reeked of sex. Body Odor from armpits of course is just as bad, use deodorant when first told you need it, and don't stop.

It will only smell like your armpits if you can get it to reach that high. And if you can, boy, you are destined for Pornos. You have sweat glands all over your body and sweat all the time allthough I never associated the smell of a sweaty armpit to that of a sweaty crotch. So keep showered and you won't have to worry about how you smell down there, but it won't smell like your armpit.
