I am in training at a new job ( A premier Insurance company ) as a service rep, in training I was asked to tape a simulated call with a partner, I knew the call would be graded, However I thought it was a feedback task not a test, in the middle of the call I could not toggle through the screens so I asked my partner if I could stop erase this part & start over; I did not record the rest of the call & the start over statement was on the tape, I turned the tape in. I was called into my trainers & managers cue I was severly reprimanded, I really had no idea the severity of what I had done, after all everyone in my training class rerecorded; I thought it was acceptable, but evidentally this was a test . I was told I did not represent the companies values & this incident would be recorded in my file. This is only my third week, I have already been spoken to for a tardy ( there was a traffic accident on the highway a 20 min drive took 1 h & another time for coming in early.
I need this job

I don't know why on earth you would think you are dishonest, it was a mistake. Everyone makes them. Learn from it, but the most important thing is not to take it personally. Your superiors have probably all made more serious mistakes. I have seen people make horrendous mistakes, but there are two things that do get you into real trouble 1) stealing 2) lying about a mistake. What you did on a scale of 0 to 10 is 1\4. Don't worry about it. What will happen is this: your bosses will be watching how you react. They want to see If you complain all over the place to your co-workers and create disharmony in the work place. It's a standard tactic with a new employee -- come really down really hard on them and see if they take it well or resent it. Take it well -- when repremanded, 1) don't complain, 2) don't explain (make excuses). 3) repeat three times to yourself, my job is not my life.

You were a little dishonest, accept you made a mistake and move on. Being late or tardy for work is not cool. Beginnig a new job you got to leave early enough even if you have to wait in the car.

Everyone makes mistakes during training. thats why we have training; so you can learn what to do and what not to do. As for being tardy, get a cell phone and keep it with you at all times. If you know or think you are going to be late call and let your boss know why so he isn't sitting there wondering if you are going to show up.

My dear friend... Work is a four letter word... we all need the job and thus have to take crap from people who don’t necessarily deserve to be in the bosses chair...
I suggest one solution.... and I am sure thus must have passed ur mind too...
There are two things u can do to solve a problem ... the first is change your self and try to please everyone even if they r wrong or Just ignore...
Remember ur company needs u more than u need the company... n they not doing u a favour employing u...
