South Africa is a alluring u . s .. i changed into born in Namibia and got here to South Africa about 28 years in the past when I studied in Pretoria. Me and my husband construct our existence right here and stayed. If i changed into interior the same situation in the present day, i'd have in no way got here. yet I had a incredible existence right here, and that i do no longer experience sorry about coming to SA on the on the spot. jointly, i'm pondering it to go away the country. As different others reported, if you're a white male and also you do not have your own agency, that is going to likely be very complicated to locate artwork in SA. My youngest daughter did her matric end of 2007, and that i'm so happy that i do no longer ought to deliver her to college anymore, pondering the resent violence at our faculties. i'm no longer particular if deepest faculties are truly better effective than the known public faculties. i does no longer opt to enhance my babies contained in the present South African surroundings. if you're prepared to take above negative aspects, i'd recommend that you quite visit smaller cities. it style of feels that the violence is way less contained in the country, except for the farm attacks.

I would say the leafy suburbs of Johannesburg (rosebank, houghton parktown ,parkhurst ) its Central the people are friendly very pretty all the oak Ave's.Good nightlife be it a small little place to eat just around the corner or a wild club .
There are plenty of golf courses in the are as well as the Johannesburg botanical gardens (great place for a pic nic or Sunday afternoon walk in the rose gardens ) .
There are a number of good Private and government schools in the area .
The over riding factor for me is its "real" there are lots of little places that are not fake or been ambushed for money its the sanctury of the city .No cluttered town houses without a tree in sigh

I would live in the Cape because that is where I was born and have good vibes there.
But really it depends on why you are going yourself and where you can find work. Also your lifestyle and whether you want to kick back in your own space or go out and razzle.
What is it you are looking for?

In one of the small towns near Durban. You are always just a stones trow from the beach. If you like shopping and night life, Durban is only 20minutes away by car. And because you live in a small town, it is peace full and quiet.

I'd say it'd be nice to live in Cape Town...it's like a mixture of old and modern...it's really a lovely place. There are a heck of amount of tourists who go there!! The people are so laid-back. It's really lovely there. The winelands are amazing!!
I dunno where wouldn't be nice to live...but for me it'd be Witbank in Mpumalanga, and those surroundings!! It's just because I don't like it there...it doesn't take my interest!!
I don't know of any sites...sorry :)...but I only know of google!!
