He is ok. Overhyped in my opinion. He does have potential though.

Yes I like Yao Ming. It seams like he and one or two other other guys are the only centers in th NBA (not O'neal who doesn't know the diff between the hoop and his own mouth) over the past 5 years who actually has any skill. I mean the guy is like perfect on D, but he can unlike quite a few centers be dangerous on offense. He can actually shoot from beyond 3 feet and he can dunk and pass as well as any center in the league.

Yao is cool. I love seeing people shatter stereotypes in a calm, dignifiede way. He just keeps doing his thing whether people are hypinh him or criticizing him. Go Yao!

I like him because he is a bridge between China and the US. His mother's restaurant is close to me in Houston and is very good. Yao is a quiet man but a good representative for China.

He's okay, but not great... a bit overrated... He's big for sure, nice shot, but he can't stand his ground very well against other big guys... need to bulk up a bit... oh... and his team had 2 1st team All-Stars and didn't make the playoffs...

He seems very awkward to me and uncomfortable.
I really wonder why his lips turn so bluish-purple in the second half.

yeah he is my favorite too..why??
coz he is a great player..and he is the most outstanding basketball player from asian... I hope sometimes he can be the MVP..
