Yes, the economy is not like it was in the 50's 2 incomes are needed, and at minumum wage with caring for 2 children you still won't have enough.

Yes I would say most work because there are very few today that can survive on one income. So basically you probably have some who would rather just stay at home but can not afford to do so. A lot of woman choose to be independent to day and actual want careers. My cousin wife is going to start looking for a job, she prefer not to but they need the money with 3kids its not cheap.

they are mostly housewives because they have to take care of there children. but married wifes percentage of working is probably 30-50 and with kids 10-20. just the way things worked I wouldnt mind taking care of the kids and the wife work
