NOD 32 is an anti virus and Firefox is a browser.

There's no way that these could have any effect on your sound.

I'd suggest that you uninstall and reinstall your your sound, launchcast and CD Player drivers which seem to have gone corrupt.

This should resolve the issue.

All the best.

Cheers.

Yeah, first answer or try system restore. Start menu - programs - accessories - system tools - System restore. It allows the computer to be restored to a previous date( so no NOD 32 or Firefox, but there might be any virus u have removed after the date, u know, complete system restore ) U can undo system restore anytime as well.
