I have DSL but isn't there something faster..

Hmm... It really depends what you mean by that. There are alot of different ways to measure computer speed. How many operations the processor can perform per second is a pretty good starting place, but there is way more to it than that. Your cache, graphics card, amount of memory, and even disk read/write speed can matter here. But since you mentioned DSL, I assume you mean internet speed. There certainly are T1 and T3 lines, but you might be paying a great deal to get them. Like, a shitload. Instead, I would begin by investigating the quality of your service. Find out how much bandwidth you are paying for, and what your upload/download speeds are promised at. Then, check the speeds you are getting. You might be suprised, but they tell you what you will be getting at peak, not a guarantee. However, if it is significantly less, call them, and tell them that if they refuse to budge, you will switch.

DSL providers usually give you different choices as far as which speed package you want. The faster the speed, of course, the higher the monthly charge. Cable is pretty fast, but your DSL provider may have a package available that performs just as fast, and probably cheaper.

Largely depends on where you live. DSL is only good if you live really close to your ISP (at least within a couple miles). Otherwise, cable would be your best bet. If that is unavailable, you might want to check into satellite, but I doubt that would be any faster than your DSL, plus you would have to worry about rain and clouds interfering.
