Fahrenheit 451: Why does Guy enjoy burning his own house?

Why does Guy Montag enjoy setting fire to his own house and his own belongings?

I don't know if "enjoy" is the right word. He is burning his old life and the superficilaity of it. Life has no meaning and everything is accepted at face value and people don't look any further than their TV screens.

By burning the house, he is burning what society has told him is the proper way to live. He then begins his life on the run.
