correct ur question,
sodium nitride is Na3N
sodium nitrite is NaNO2

which one u want?

Al2(SO4)3 is for aluminium sulfate.
If u want to have only one Al in aluminium sulfate, (AlSO4)+ ion or AlSO4.Cl aluminium chloro sulfate. this is because, aluminium is ready to give 3 electrons in order to become more stable. SO4 can accept 2 electrons. there is one more electron given by aluminium. two assess this, 2 Al atoms give total of 6 electron, and 3 SO4 groups accept a total of 6 electrons.

No, it should not be AlSO4 because the charge of Aluminum to react is +3 and the charge of the polyatomic anion SO4 is -2. To form the neutral substance, the positive and negative charges must equal. This means you need 2 atoms of +3 Al giving you a total of +6 charges to react with 3 sulfate (SO4 -2 ), or a total of
-6 charges. +6 and -6 gives you zero which is the charge of the whole aluminum sulfate.

Aluminum is group 3A element. It has +3 charge.
Sulfate ion has -2 charge.
The net charge of the compound must be zero.
(2*(+3))+(3*(-2)) = 0
Sodium nitride's chemical formula is NaNO2
cuper (II) phosphate's chemical formula is Cu3(PO4)2

in writing chemical formulas you have to balance charges. Al has +3, SO4 has -2. you have to cross multiply to get the charges to balance. from that you should be able to do the rest yourself

because Al=3 charge and So4 have -2 charge....so the formula is correct!

Al is trivalentm SO4 is divalent so Al2(SO4)3 is correct.
