Your opinion can't be wrong, but it can be valid or invalid based on your knowledge of the subject at hand.

Opinion is what you think or believe or feel on a subject.
Knowledge is the amount of instruction, learning, or experience you have on a subject.

Your opinion should be based on knowledge. Otherwise it's just people wasting valuable air.

Plato Knowledge And Opinion

I am confident that philosophers would say opinions can be wrong. Anytime you change your view on something, you may recognize your previous opinion was wrong. Or you might find out it was based on false facts. It is easier for me to think in terms of beliefs and knowledge. The ancient epistemologists talked about (Plato does this, in particular) knowledge being a true belief that is tied down by a lot of ropes: so well justified. This is helpful to me because it explains how we can get to knowledge: we start by having an opinion (or mere belief) that is true, and then that opinion gets supported by other beliefs that are true-- until the view becomes as secure as it might get.

an opinion is subjective, knowledge is objective...to an extent. Of course an opinion can be wrong..depending on if you believe there are objective truths, and as a Christian, I do. You might think it's okay for you to sleep with my husband or wife, and that's your opinion...I would have to say that's a WRONG opinion, because by objective moral standards that I hold to, that is wrong and a sin. But, I'm sure if I had an opinion that it was okay for me to sleep with your husband or wife, you would most likely then think that I have a WRONG opinion...

Opinion can be right or wrong. I may say "in my opinion this is not the type of film you will like" You may go to the film and like it in which case my opinion is wrong.

When they say, "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion" I say: Why?
If an opinion is based upon Here say and not substantiated by any type of physical evidence, it is worthless and no one should be entitled to that type of opinion.
There are seriouss opinions and no so seriou opinions.
If your opinion is indicative that you believe in Fairy Tales, it harms no one.
But if your opinion contradicts common sense and it causes trouble, then you should not have a right to that opinion. That type of opinion is wrong from the start.
The words "I believe" are worthless without proof that what you believe has a basis in truth.
I don't believe has the same effect.
Opinions without evidence to back them up are just opinions.

Do you mean is there a difference beween opinion and fact? Yes, facts don't change based upon who is viewing them. Opinions are not facts. Knowledge can produce both facts and opinions. Some wrong opinions are based on faulty facts or assumption of what the facts are.

Knowledge or Opinion?

"The ground bounced on the ball"..

Since relativity governs the universe, everything becomes an opinion..

Right and wrong evolve with the times..

All of the above is relative knowledge, and wrong truth..

Are you asking for my opinion or are you asking if I actually know the answer? If your opinion is contrary to verifiable fact then obviously your opinion is wrong.

BTW A fact can't be faulty, otherwise it wouldn't be a fact.

Opinion is what I say to you; Knowledge is what you experience yourself.

Opinion is borrowed, knowledge is experienced.
