No, corn in a cream base. I don't like it. Something about corn in any cream soups turns me tummy!

What? Nobody likes corn chowder? I love corn chowder! I make it with a little bit of salt pork (kind of like bacon) for flavor, but there's really not much meat in it other than that.

Nope, no fish (unless it's a "fish & corn" chowder).
A "chowder" is a thick soup. It often is milk-based, often thickened with potatoes, and usually has some type of bacon or salted pork in it.
There's clam chowder, fish chowder, corn chowder, etc.
Manhatten clam chowder uses tomatoes instead of milk.
The word "chowder" comes from the french word for "pot" (which I forget the word). Naming food after the vessel has also happened with "casseroles", which is the french name for that kind of oven pot.

yea its ok not the best but its good its better when it is mixed in with chicken its called chicken corn chowder. Its sooo good

Yes. The corn chowder I had did not have any meat or seafood in it.

I've never had it before. I love corn, but I'm not big on fish. If it has fish in it, then I probably wouldn't eat it.

Lastnight my gf had chicken corn chowder. She said it was nasty. I've never had it. Sounds gross to me.

Yeah, not that great...and I LOVE corn...never heard of it with fish, though, yikes, talk about gas & runs galore!
