Serious answers only or I WILL REPORT you as this IS a serious question.
For the last several weeks, my left nipple has been like in the arousal stage, but very painful. HARD and almost twice the size of my right one. My breast itself is not tender, my right side is just fine. It hurts like hell if something even brushes against it. PG test came back neg. This is not due to my period as it's been ongoing since a week before my last one a month ago. I've looked under many medical categories on-line with no luck. I have no health insurance yet, so can't see a Doc. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance to those with nice replies!!

Since this just started and has never happened before, I don't think it's because it's more sensitive than the other....thanks

I have a wide assortment of bras that I wear, so it's not just one kind possibly irritating me. Also, it's not my laundry detergent and it's not like it goes away at certain times then flairs back up. It's like a constant painful hard-on LOL.

I'm not on ANY type of birth control nor is there any type of discharge.

I'm not breast feeding (since I have never been PG to have had a baby), nor is there ANY type of discharge. I have already read that link and found the info not helpful for my situation. Thanks for trying.

Maybe I need to rephrase that last statement I made. If I'm in a physical state of arousal, it doesn't hurt. It's not pierced and it's not due to obesity as I'm a 38D, #150, 5'2". I sure hope I have covered everything now. Thanks again for your help!

i honestly am not sure if its that painful you really need to get it checked. i no that caffeine can cause it at times and estrogen in birth control pills. but this sounds different and the concern is how painful it is for you. some places they have clinics with doctors that take you by your income. call your local social services and ask if this is available where you live. hope you get well soon and its not anything serious.

I was just thinking that maybe the side where you're hurting might be more sensitive to begin with. Many people are built that way being stronger or a little bit more sensitive than the other side. Your bra also may have had a role in this. Maybe buy a different bra and see what that does.

Nipple problems can include tenderness or discharge from the nipple portion of the breast.

"Call for an appointment with your health care provider if nipple problems occur.." I STRONGLY agree with this.
Sweetie, everything that I've been reading since I read your question suggests you should see your doctor. If you do nor have insurance, you STILL do NOT want to take chances. Once when I was in a crunch for money,I cut back on luxuries....because the health of my little dog meant the world to me. I would do the same for myself. PLEASE see a doctor and have this problem stop. God bless you.

Have you been without a bra? I know I had this on/off for a while, I thought it may have been pregnancy but it wasn't. I realized it was because of me going bra-less and having my breasts rub on the inside of the t-shirt. You really don't think it's doing anything since you don't really feel much but they end up feeling sore...strange but true.

Since you don't have insurance quite yet...why don't you try planned parenthood...it's a health clinic..and maybe they can meet with you and answer your question(s)...so i hope this helps
