I live in central/southern Illinois. Your'e right about the corn. Doesn't matter if your'e on a country road or on the interstate, it's there. And now we want to make fuel out of it. Just think how much more there will be. OMG!!!!! It will move to the cities.

It depends on my destination. If I'm heading somewhere I've been many times, the interstate is my preferred route. If I'm going somewhere new, and I have the time, I'd rather take the country roads.
When I drive from my home (in IL) to my in-laws' (in IA), I take a combination of the two. There are some cute little towns along the way.

I like country driving...but that is because I have lived in the country for so long every where I've lived. I do like driving on the Interstate too, but I always get passed by everyone lol. I do go the speed limit on Interstate, just maybe 5 over it and I stay in the slow lane or middle lane.
