I have also never heard of anyone being excessively hungry in the first trimester. But, I am 8 weeks pregnant now and I am hungry and thirsty all the time. I just can't satisfy anything and it drives me nuts.

I'm starving all the time (at 8wks) so yes it's possible. But don't rely on being hungry, you need to take a test. There are so many symptoms, and every woman is different, so relying on symptoms alone is pointless. Plus if you keep thinking you're pregnant and focusing on it, and then you find out you're not, you might be in for a big let-down and you don't want to do that to yourself. Good luck!

yes because the baby is using a tremendous amount of calories in the first few months because of the brain and organ production. also, invest a dollar at the local dollar store and get a pregnancy test. it doesn't have to be a fancy one cuz they all detect the same hormone and you only make that hormone when pregnant. you need to get prenatal care esp in the early months.

Why not take a pregnancy test and find out. With my pregnancies, I ate like a pig, and weird stuff too. Have you missed your period? Are you tired alot? Are you having morning sickenss? If you take the pregnancy test, I hope you follow up with a doctor.

I've never heard of extreme hunger, I couldn't keep anything down. Go get a test and solve the mystery once and for all.

yes hunger is normal.the baby graves the stuff it needs to survive. dont ignore it you could damage the baby and your self.
being hungry like that is also a sign of depression and stress.and if you've missed you period it could be related to stress. if not congrads.
