EU is growing faster, currency stronger, lower debt, not intangled in endless wars, and world admiration.

Although the EU is far from a unified entity, it does have a much brighter future ahead of it. Outside of the reasons outlined above, it is really the only large political body remotely alarmed by climate change. Hurray for the many countries pledging to cut emissions by over 50 percent. On a diplomatic front, if the EU acts as a single power -and France and Germany cool their egos- it could wield the same influence as the US, an influence that would likely be used to more peaceful solutions. This does unfortunately bring up the only real problem in the EU. A Report by the NIE suggests that Europe, with it's large Arab population has become the second target after Iraq for terrorism. This will require a creative solution that MAY be outside of the peaceful/appeasement tradition of European diplomats. The main key, though, is ultimately unity. Over the past 500 years Europe has slowly been moving towards a single unified body. Although never realized, the bloodshed preventing has been against tyranny and hegemony, not unity. This may be the time. I say abandon nationalism (what has it gotten us, aside from a bunch of wars?) and go for it.

I feel when there is a change in our government you will see other countries will be a little more friendly. We just have a bad egg for a leader at the minute but it will pass like a bad bowl movment. But once he is gone you will see.
The EU has nothing on the USA. It is a new and weak government but will get stronger as time goes on. But so will the USA.
You have to remember that if you are at 97 % and you do a 10% gain it is only 10% of 3% gain But if you are down at 40 % like the EU and do a 10 % gain you moved not .3% like the USA did but you moved 6% being 10% of 60% not 10% of 3%. Get the picture? So they really are not gaining anyfaster then anyone else is just more more space to travel to get there. There is not much you can gain the closer you get to 100%. But very easy to increase if you are that far away.
Please don't take my numbers as real data. I am only pulling numbers out of the air to make a point. EU has a long ways to go and the USA is already there..

the USA of a has by no skill been that beneficiant with help to international places different than Israel. maximum help to different international places is tied to their very own political hobbies and the hobbies of the multinationals. Even fairly undesirable international places in Europe make contributions greater to distant places help as a proportion of their GDP than the USA of a. the place the USA of a scores over Europe is of their propaganda which seems to be gradually disseminated with the help of the international's media. it extremely is ironic and and considered one of these shame on the USA of a that a rustic so close and so friendly to the U. S. is taken into consideration one of the poorest interior the international, collectively as Cuba that the U. S. likes to deride isn't, yet how many human beings ever considered this. u . s . is the rustic of make have confidence yet no substance. If the question grow to be the place might i like to stay u . s . or Europe then it should be Europe. With all that's faults and obstacles Europe continues to be a much greater advantageous place than the USA of a.

The better future is to be realized by the one that agrees with itself the more. Any civilization that lasts must finally come to terms with the evolving politics and expectations of the constituent individual. In our own time, this amounts to a strong, abiding commitment to human rights. The EU and the United States do not view human rights the same way at all. One of these does not really agree with itself: claiming "freedom" in the highest and engaging in premeditated killing (death penalty), which debases freedom utterly.

Hummmm!! That's the way the USA was when Clinton was President. The Republicans are not ruling the EU, they've got some rulers that care about their people.

I don't know. But I have a sister living in Switzerland and says that luckily they're not in the Euro zone and I don't know if it would be a benefit or not. However, I'm guessing that the countries that invaded Africa should pay those countries back (not unless if they do pay them). It would be totally unfair for us to pay for everybody's messes, including our own, and not have the EU pay a penny. Besides, we didn't invade Africa.

Looks like you like France better...
Just because you don't support the coach doesn't give you a reason to quit supporting the team...
DO you know why they aren't involved in wars?
because they are submissive to terrorist, and they are insane on politically incorrectness...
the ID card in the EU won't allow individual nation's flags on them...
they are a citizen of the EU... the revived Roman Empire.
If you like it better there, by all means... strap your rear to a rocket and go...

I'm with kurt c on this one.
Who gives a flip about world admiration. They'll be nice to us when they need us. And we'll forgive and forget. Again.
And given enough time, the EU will have all the problems we have always had. They are the kinds of problems that go hand in hand with being a "melting pot."
