All I can tell you is my husband would cringe at your question because it sounds like you want to go all out, and he hates that. He loves a nice card with a handwritten note about how much I appreciate him, and he also loves it when I empty the dishwasher because I almost never do. Be careful; you don't want to smother him. Sometimes the simple things mean the most. A nice home-cooked meal never fails either. Like I said, the simple things are the best.

One thing that I think is romantic and makes me feel loved is when my girl just hangs on me a little bit and is all lovey and whatnot. Granted it has to be at the right time, but it reminds me that she is just as crazy about me as I am about her. So just get up close with your man and hug him and just play around. Im not saying do anyting dirty, because thats not what I mean. Just show him that u really love him.

Do something specific just for him. If he likes carrot cake, for example, get him or bake him a really great one, and when he asks you why you did it, say cause you're my guy and I love you. Also...thank him for being so wonderful. I don't think very many people get the thanks they deserve often enough. Treat him to something HE likes, whether or not you love it too. Cards, poem, letter left somewhere he will find it when you''re not around...

It's a lifestyle, not a specific event. Much like everything else in life(staying in shape, educating yourself,...)

Men are usually easy going. Just making him lunch once in a while would be nice. They want to be appreciated more than anything.
