That's probably the funniest and best question I've ever seen on this web site! Sooo true! I think it's because we hold our breath for so long, hoping that we don't accidentally stab our eyeball, that when we're through putting on the mascara our lungs are so deflated that we have to be ready to gasp for the quickest breath of air we can get. He...He.

I positioned mine on with my mouth closed. yet you open your mouth so as that way you do not blink and get the mascara throughout your face, that's a discomfort. yet then too it kinda opens the attention slightly greater for some human beings so as that they are able to cover each little lash. desire this enables you out! :-)

I don't really wear Mascara, so I don't know.
When I do, I don't open my mouth during it. In fact, I don't open my mouth when I put on any of my make-up.

but I may do it if I'm putting on chapstick. Not lipstick, but yes, with the chapstick. At least 20x more frequently.

It's an unspoken rule. when mascara is applied, it sometimes drips. The mouth is kept open so the drip can more quickly be caught with the tongue to prevent staining her clothing. You can find it in the " The Quick Tongue Guide".

My computer brain just announced me that when they apply mascara they have to open their eye wide...Problem is , they wish they could open it wider but they can't. Their mouth is an expression of that. It's a body language reflex kinda thing.

It's a reflex
Like when some people work
their tongues hang out or hold their mouths tightly shut
they're so into what they are doing
they are not thinking of their actions.

You want your eyes to be as wide open as possible. Opening your mouth helps. Try it!
