Internet Explorer is probably the most used browser. The reason that Firefox Is better is because virus creators look for people using internet explorer becasue it is the most common. Although most people could care less, Firefox is a much better browser. It protects viruses from running when you enter a web page. Please note, that this does not mean the virus will not run if it is already on your computer. I have seen many people say that. It will prevent it from installing in the first place but not guard it from running at all. You will still need an antivirus but it is much better than Internet Explorer.

Depends on the types of sites you visit. Viruses written to attack IE do not work in Firefox, however, many viruses work regardless of browser. I say go with both and see what you like.

Oh firefox is much much better to use. You can personalize firefox the way you want through themes and add-ons, plus it just seems to be a more stable browser. Plus you get to tab all your windows so you dont have to reopen a new browser each time you want to keep certain windows open. Its a better choice.

I've had so many problems with IE I totally uninstalled it off my computer. I stay with Firefox and have not had an issue in months.
