By asking loaded questions like, 'what's wrong with', or just generally digging up dirt on some stars (like Cruise) and ignoring the evil doers like Woody Allen or Roman Polanski?

I agree with you there.
Britney Spears got picked on a lot this year, but she is just a little immature.
It almost seems like everyone has forgotten about "Woody Allen's" sexcapade with his adopted daughter. It seems like they are making him out to be a saint nowadays.
Cruise is a little annoying, but he really didn't do anything wrong.
I guess you are more evil now if you have your own opinion, then if you are a molester.

Yes they do. But in a way those people bring attention to themselves. The media has gotten out of hand. And I think the people are aware of that. It is better to keep things private. Tom Cruise went way out of hand. And it seemed he trusted the media. But it really brought him down.

In a word, YES. MEdia wont take no comment or no for an answer, they push people to their limits constantly - glad I'm not famous, the media annoys the living daylights out of me the way they treat people.

To the media, we are all a bunch of dollar signs, stories, and prize awards. They could not care less about our feelings, as long as they have enough rubbish to attract viewers.
