Interesting question.. Whom do i love? i do love a lot of people at different degree of love.. God is the highest degree as He is the creator who loved me and gave His son to come to earth and die on the cruel cross.. no matter what i give up for Him will never match what He gave up for me..
the second degree would be my parents, as they sacrificed a lot so that i will have a lot of things in life.. their selflessness just amaze me.. i guess i can only truly understand that once i become a parent myself.. if at any point of time i need to put my life on the line for them, then i'll do it gladly..
the third degree is for the special one person in my life who made me realize my true potential, who made me able to love myself, who made me see the goodness in me and my hidden inner beauty.. no matter wat happens will love him with all my heart and am willing gladly to put my life on the line for him...
the fourth degree is my close friends, my aunty and her family, my god parents.. this people are very near and dear to my heart.. their happiness is my happiness and if it the cost is my life, i will give it away for them...
the next degree would be extended family, the people i know & acquaintances.. erm, as much as i would like to put my life on the line for this people i have to admit there will be doubts and reluctances.. Love defies logic and sometimes it's difficult to comprehend why would we wanna put our life in danger for others when there's chances they might not feel the same way..
i really hope to be able to live the way God wants us to..
it is written in John 15:13
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
sorry for the long lecture but just felt wanna say all this out..

This is a really good question....
First of all love (real true love in its purest essence) is by nature unconditional....if you love something your love does not bear conditions...otherwise it is nothing more than a bargaining chip...as for who/what...i have varying degrees of love for everything and everyone...on an existential, global sense i love everyone in the world, but no i am not willing to lay down my life for every man woman and child on the planet...that is why i became a nurse..the love i have for humanity decrees that i do something to give back to my fellow man...as such I put my life at risk quite frequently in caring for my patients, exposing myself to contagious and unknown diseases on almost a daily basis...I love my family and my friends unconditionally and would do anything for them, including lay down my life if need be...I love my pets but I do not think i would die for my dogs (though i might kill for them lol)..all this being said, however, i must share something that a wise wise woman told me when my mother died..never love something so much that you can't let it go and never forget that love is your greatest possession...never let love possess you...sorry my answer was so long i just really liked the question lol....

it is totally worry-free for human beings to desire to assign each and every style of very human attributes to God (i.e. God is mad, unhappy, offended, depressed, vengeful, hateful of gays, women human beings, and so on.). From what i will tell, it says lots extra in regards to the folk saying those issues than it says approximately God. possibly what you may desire to evaluate is despite if or not you adore unconditionally. From what i will tell, there is not any inherent conflict between loving ourselves, loving others and loving all in God's introduction. despite in case you do not have faith in God, you nonetheless have the skill to love unconditionally, and once you're offended at God, you are the only carrying around the anger, not God. based on your set of ideals, you attempt to sell an unreasonable, irrational and illogical assumption approximately God. once you're entitled to have faith something that works for you, i do in comparison to your probabilities of advertising to lots of something human beings. Have a great day!

I love God unconditionally and always have. I would die for Him, but I don't believe in trying to change others. I love Him unconditionally because I feel He is the reason I am here....He's with me when no one else is and loves me when no one else does....
