been using it correctly for over a year. last time i had my period was during week three when i had the patch on.28 days after my last period i havent started im on my fourth week no period and i took the patch off this week on monday..was told it takes about 4 days after u take the patch off for the hormones to lay off till u start ur period..is this true?

I was on Ortho Evra and most of the time my period started 2 days after I took the patch off but no more than 4 days. I loved the patch, but did switch to another form after the information came out about it causing strokes and blood clots in young, healthy, non-smoking women. Of course, there is always the possibility that you could be pregnant if you had sex. Birth control is only 99% effective, so there is always a slight chance, even with perfect usage(I got pregnant on birth control recently).

Yeah I think that's true.
I've tried ortho evra like a year ago but got off of it because the patch made my skin itchy and left all this nasty glue residue on me :-( haha.

I just know that this girl I know got pregnant on Ortho Evra about 9 months ago. That's all I know.

Isn't ortho evra the brand that is supposed to be bad to take? I keep seeing it on t.v......

Yes,but I had to stop using it because it made me vomit and made my cycles kinda wacky. I also heard there are problems with it or something. I would consider a new method if I were you.
