my friend and i made a decision last week that we are going to make the most of (almost) every hour of the day! the first week went very well- we made sure we studied atleast 2 hours a day, went for a jog every other day and basically everything was going well...until...one night, i slept a bit late and that led to me sleeping in an extra 2 hours the following morning, this led to me feeling very droopy all day long! and then it just became a cycle.
i'm sure its basically down to a bit of discipline but do u guys have any suggestions?

You have to be determined to wake up in time. Make some goals for your self and pursue these goals. You have to fight the urge to sleep in and break the cycle.

The 80/20 rule can help you be more effective.

You can google the history of this rule. But it essentially boils down to this:

Focus 80 percent of your time and energy on the 20 percent of your work that is really important.

Don't just "work smart", work smart on the right things.

If you have a lot of stuff in your room...get rid of it (or at least hide it somewhere). Try to live a minimalistic lifestyle. With lots of little things in your room, you have the capacity to procrastinate and not get what you want done.

For the sleeping...I suggest coffee :)

that's great that you are taking steps to improve your life. maybe don't be so hard on yourself and just accept that sometimes you will have a lazy day. just don't sleep all day! maybe, prepare some coffee when you first wake up. just don't become a perfectionist. that's a little scary! =)
