The drug abuse may give the user a feeling of pleasure, but it is important to remember that they are toxic substances. We are constantly being made aware that long-term drug abuse can be bad for our health and that even a single use of a drug can kill.
Drug addiction is a brain disease. Although initial drug use might be voluntary, drugs of abuse have been shown to alter gene expression and brain circuitry, which in turn affect human behavior. Once addiction develops, these brain changes interfere with an individual’s ability to make voluntary decisions, leading to compulsive drug craving, seeking and use.
The impact of addiction can be far reaching. Cardiovascular disease, stroke, cancer, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and lung disease can all be affected by drug abuse. Some of these effects occur when drugs are used at high doses or after prolonged use, however, some may occur after just one use.

People view political events through their prejudices. The definition of stupid is; untrainable. I think the term applies in this case.
Libs are dishonest in politics for the purpose of gaining party strength. Doesn't matter to them that they are harming national security efforts and world security efforts. Remember the Dems jumped on the bandwagon when they thought it was popular with their base? Now that the nutty base has made their nuttiness apparent, the Dems flip flopped to speak anti-war and, yes, anti-American rhetoric. To consider America the world bully is just a means to an end. We are the only party in this struggle using moral concerns. France, Russia, and Germany tried to claim moral high ground until we learned through the oil for food scandal that they were all crooked as a dog's hind leg.
Comparing the left's rhetoric to the enemy's, we can gain a perspective on just how nutty the nutty left are. Applauding the NY Times' revelation of our secret interrogation tactics, our secret prisons for terrorist thugs, equating our behavior in this struggle to the enemy's when they don't enter the same solar system, Democratic politicians comparing this to Polpot and the Gulag, accusing our military of heinous war crimes and holding them to standards of Geneva Convention but giving our enemy a pass for sawing off the heads of captured innocent citizens.
Dennis Prager has the best articulation of moral charges against this moral equivalence crowd. They are intellectually dishonest.

Nope, don't have a clue. But you know what? History is written by the victors. We have to make sure he gets impeached and removed from office before his time is up.
We have to become the victors so that history reflects what we really think of this president.
