What should an 11-year-old boy do when another kid calls him a nerd? Any good comebacks w/o foul language? Any suggestions? Thanks.

kefer39 - thanks for the ideas. His clothes are fine. He wears glasses and I'm not sure what the rest of the problem is. By the way, "nerd" has only happened once...so far.

they are telling him this for a reason.buy him cloths that look more like the COOL crowd wears, watch his walk, get him to walk more confidently.tell him to look people in there in there eyes .. not to look down. tell him not to lower himself to there level, that he is a man.now..he will be ok!

Do nothing, just brush it off. Trying to "comeback" only shows your own insecurity, and gives them the pleasure of knowing that it got to you.

Just say something along the lines of: "Thanks for insulting me by pointing out the fact that my intelligence level is so much higher than yours". Or something.
