I'm thinking about quitting my job and becoming a king of somewhere. Does anybody know of a country, state or PTA association that might have an opening? Also, do I need a license, is there a test you have to pass, can you suggest any books on how to be a king? Thanks in advance, I'll let you know how it turns out.

You need a crown, a robe, a throne. What you are king of, that's up to you.
Burgers are taken. You could be a Dairy King, and that position comes with a wife.

I saw on some show that it is possible to buy yourself a title like lord or something, but I think that you have to prove your lineage and the title costs a great deal of money and everyone around you will be a snob, cause you bought your way in...well I don't actually know that last part....you might just want to do what kings do....visit hospitals, plant a little symbolic tree here and there and have extravagant vacations.

You know if you think about it at one time those who are Royalty just had a relative who said “I am now King of this Country” They probably had some followers that gave them the power to do it.

I think you need a good sword and a strong arm to wield it. That's how most of 'em got the job. Stay in practice after you get it, too. There will be someone on here wanting to take it away from you.

You could buy your Island somewhere and be the King. Other than that, I think you are out of luck.
