Microsoft's XBOX 360 was admittedly a rushed project. They wanted to be first in the next-gen gaming market so they could have a head start on the competition, because they knew they could never compete with a side-by-side launch with PS3. Consequently, while production was quicker, quality was lost. Fortunately, Microsoft is releasing a second generation of XBOX 360 units near the release of the PS3, which should finally eliminate all problems that customers have been complaining about. I've had my XBOX 360 since release day and it hasn't given me any problems. I've been really lucky, but it's nice to know that if I DO have any problems between now and November 11th, I can send it in and they'll either fix it or replace it for me. And with the XBOX Live Vision Camera release, and the winter arrival of Microsoft's new and most affordable HD DVD drive, XBOX 360 could have a leg up on the competition. Sony and PS3 are still having bugs with their Blu-ray hardware, and they've only got a little over a month before they've got to deliver, whether it's finished or not.

The first generation of a new console will do that. It happened to me, but within a week of calling... I had a brand new 360, and I live in a very remote place.

New console Microsoft needs to work the bugs out. PS3 will probably have the same problem. Nintendo most likely will have the least problems.

It appears that production was rushed and some cheap parts were used to control the price. I hope PS3 doesn't have the same problem.
