The term pregnancy glow is related to the extra blood pumping through your body and usually causes the cheeks to become rosy(what I was told).

I however think that it's how you take care of yourself. Every pregnancy is different. My first child I was miserable and didn't take care of myself.
I am 39 weeks and 4 days and I have been extremely energetic this time around and more into how look because I haven't been stuck with the morning sickness like I was the first time around.
Don't get me wrong I'm a little more high stressed this time around...but it's how you feel in general, how you carry yourself that gives you that positive ray of light that everyone can see....pregnant or not pregnant.

P.S. To the person who said it's because they feel greasy...maybe you should try Noxzema face wash....it doesn't over dry your skin and it worked for me!!! They have a new face mask that works like a charm! It's not what I usually use because it's a drug store brand, but it really works, and it's cheap cheap cheap too...about $8.00CDN a tube!

The inner beauty of a mother to be shines through. The happiness that pregnancy fills your heart with just overflows to the point that everyone can see it. Also hormones can make changes in your skin by causing an increase in oil and sometimes a red rash on the face. The redness and shininess can be mistaken as a 'glow'.

It's called being oily. Pregnancy hormones can cause a woman's skin to become much oilier than normal (like mine is now) and to be nice they call it a "glow." I don't feel like I'm glowing, I just feel greasy, haha. I have to wear more makeup than normal...
