There's not really anything you can say to make this better. The best advice I can give you is to be there for her. Comfort her and make sure she spends every minute with her son. Loosing someone to cancer is always hard..I myself lost my grandmother to breast cancer. All you can do is pray.

dont think theres anything u can say to make her feel better
if he is definitly no gonna make it then all u can say he is going to a better place and he wont be in pain anymore

but if theres a chance he might make it then just tell her to pray

You don't have to say anything!! Let her do the talking and you be a good listener and support her. In situations of this nature, we often feel like we have to say something, but it's not about us!!! Allow her to vent and express HER remorse. It's all part of the grieving process.

Tell her you will be there for her if she ever needs you. Open arms and an open heart is a great help to sooth grief. Mostly just listen to her, let her get her feellings out if she wants to talk.
