let your ones digit be x
then your tens digit would be x+ 7
then the sum of tens and ones digits is x+(x+7) = 9
==> 2x + 7 = 9
2x = 9 - 7
2 x = 2
==> x =1

So ones digit is 1 and tens digit is 1+ 7 = 8
The number is 149,981

Use the second and third sentences to write two equations

t = 7 + o
t + o = 9

Substitute 7 + o for t in the second equation.

7 + o + o = 9
7 + 2o = 9
2o = 2
o = 1

t = 8

So the number would be 149,981
