Cadeau is French for gift. In German gift is gaben and I suspect that the Dutch word is similar. (too late to check it out), Incidentally, the English word poison is "gift" in German.

from what I am understanding from a few different websites... cadeaucode is a way to send gifts by text message. I am unsure as well if it is a dutch word but the concept was created by a dutch company.

I think we need more information. Where did you hear this word and where was it used. Also,are you sure it is spelled correctly?
