Anything that impairs one's judgement should be outlawed. I'm not naive here, I have tried pot, I have done worse. It's wrong to pollute your system this way (alcohol too), it does nothing good for you, no matter what the world might want you to believe. It makes you do crazy things that you wouldn't normally do when it isn't in your system. Anything of this caliber should be abolished.

I have rethought my position on legalization of marijuana. I think it should be legal under certain guidelines and locals.
The first reason it should be legalized it will mellow out the liberals. They are way to shrill.
Reason number two, if a liberal is high they won't care about voting and we can easily elect conservative representative, congressmen, and president. Conservatives will never again have to deal with R.I.N.O.s if this happens. Imagine if there was no Arlen Spector or John McCain.
Reason Three assuming that only liberals and libertarians are for the legalization of drugs they can fight amongst themselves, and we conservatives have a way to sure up our power
The Previsos
marijuana would only be legal in Blue States. If you are caught with marijuana in a red state you get a trial and immediately executed after the trial, no appeals. The reason for this is to get potheads out of here and since it seams as if the Blue states want to legalize it let them.
If someone who is high robs, steals, or causes an accident after THC is detected in their system ALL their possessions become the property of the estate of the victim. (applies to all fifty)
If they have children, the children are removed from the home and are never returned (applies to all fifty)
The only treatment for those who want to quit smoking marijuana will be the intake of tobacco products, or beaten with a bong. Paid for by the offender (the way they train dogs not to make messes on carpets) Again all fifty.
If this works for marijuana I would propose the same for all illicit drugs. But no one would accept this proposal so I will have to continue my opposition to this and ALL illegal drugs.

The only problem I see from legalization of marijuana is that once that happens, Big Business will add 18 million chemicals to it, and make it really addictive so that you have to smoke 20 to 40 joints a day, and then we'll be back to square one all over again!

I know many Los Angles County Sheriffs and other Police agencys and if they were truthful too you they also belive Marijuana for personel use should be legal. Most Police deperments if they had their way they wold like to se it legal. It would free them up to fight real crime such as Rape, Murder,Domestic volience etc..If you can find the older movie Colors with Sean Penn and Robert Duvall you will see some of this. Also on Law and Order, The orginal alot of this is also covered.

For one, I really don't see marijuana as a "drug" since it is naturally grown. It's a natural herb. I don't smoke it, but know some who do. The only problems that I've seen them have is after smoking, they will do one of two things. They will sleep or they will eat you out of house and home. Doctors actually prescribe liquid marijuana for medical purposes. ( such as glaucoma) I wouldn't mind it being legal. The problem there is that the government will then have their hands in it, tax it then no one could afford it.

*-I vote yes....it would stop a lot of the harder drugs from being introduced to young people. there will always be a fair amount of people on a down hill racer, and thats just the way it is. right now the drug society dealers want kids to start on pot and move up the chain. by legalizing a lot of trafficing would be done...it would be grown here...helping the farmers our govt. has destroyed, by buying American we would not be contributing to the cartels, or supporting terrorists. I vote yes. I thought I should add that marijuana is not addicting...even though Reefer madness would like you to beleive so, that bull came from the govt when they wanted to make it illegal.

I'm all for it, I think it it were legalized there would be more control on the quality, wouldn't be as much tampering. I do however think it shouldn't be sold to minors. It should be treated as alcohol or cigarettes. Warning labels and such. Or it should be able to be purchased over the counter at drug stores (no pun intended)

No no no no..
It is a big problem for youth, It kills your brain cells, and it is as bad as any drug in the fact people get addicted.
There are serious effects from marijiuana, like hallucinations, paranoia, heart papilations, acne, false sense of safety, the list can go on & on.
People get addicted to this, and then the aim for the higher drugs like speed,
No drugs sgould be legal.
