decibals is a measure of sound. a tape measure won't help you measure decibals.

Impossible, a tape measure is for physical distance, decibals measures the volume of sound.

If you mean decimals, then you would have to convert the fractions of the measure to the decimal system.
1/2 = .5 1/4 = .25
1/8 = .125 1/16 = .0625
