I was taken to the hospital Friday night with extreme x10 pain. It turns out that it is my gullbladder. I was able to go home; however, they are taking their time doing a lot of tests to ensure that the only problem is my gullbladder. While I understand and appreciate their thouroughness, I am deathly afraid of another attack. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am really anxious. I appreciate any help.

Do you have Gull Stones? My Mother-In-Law actually went in today for surgery(#2 in the last 3 years) on her gull bladder. She has very serious problems with gull stones. Did they give you pain medication, that should help with the attacks or prevent them. She had to wait about a month till a heads up was given on whats going to be done, I know not helping you at all here, but just hang in there. Call and tell them how you feel about having another attack while in waiting, maybe they can give some sort of reassurance. Best Wishes!

Yes! You have a pretty good chance of another attack. I started having them when I was about 17 and had to have my gull bladder out at 24. There are some medications that can help. But the main thing is for your doctors to find out what is causing the problem.

But why did you put this question under fashion accessories ?

No personal experience, but I work in the operating room at a Level 1 trauma center (US). After fixing broken bones, back surgery and gall bladder removal (usually laparoscopically) are the most common surgeries.

if the gall bladder grow to be bumped off, there is not any place for the stone to have come from, so I doubt it extremely is that. greater possibly wrongdoer is your weight loss software. Did you have the discomfort after ingesting a extreme fat meal or cope with?

The next time you eat something greasy, you will probably have another attack. Avoid fatty, greasy foods. Plan on having surgery at some point if the attacks continue.

its a build up of cholesterol in the gallbladder...a lot like kidney stones...you may have to have your gallbladder removed to completely get rid of the problem
