There are 3 females going for a job as a secretary all 3 females are equally qualified the boss has an hard time choosing so he decides to show the 3 ladys 5 hats, 3 are white and 2 are red after they are shown the hats they are equally and completely blindfolded and can't see. The boss puts the 2 red hats in the closet and places the 3 white hats on top of thier head. The boss removes the blindfolds each female can see the other females hat but can't see her own hat on top of her head, they are going for a job so they do not help eachother. Finally!!! One of the females determine what color hat she has on and why. I need you to tell me how did she know what color hat she had on top of her head and why?

The woman who got it right noticed the other two were silent. Let's assume the one who got it right is named Sally.
If Sally was wearing a red hat, one of the other woman would have figured out she was wearing a white hat. If either of the other two saw a red hat on Sally, and if she was also wearing red, the third woman would instantly know she had a white hat (since she could see the only two red hats on Sally and the other woman.) Since the third woman was silent, the second one would know she had on a white hat.
Since neither of the other two women said anything, Sally figured out she couldn't be wearing a red hat.

She could see the two red hats in the closet(either because it had no door, or the door was not closed).

the other two have said "red" - since there are only 2 red hats, the third female knows that she has a white hat - because the other two have figured that the odds were if both other hats were white... theirs would have a 2 in 3 chance of the last one being red... so she said "white" correctly.

she figures shes got the red one cause that's the color she would of put on them...cause they all think alike
