When I lived in Houston, TX we had a black mold problem. The insurance company ended up gutting and rebuilding the interior completely to remove it all.
And we never even saw any of it, we were just getting sickened by it being in the house.

first thing to do is have the mold tested. There are many kinds of mold. Some are very harmful to your health and you can only determine that by testing. Remove the moisture with a dehumidifier. Use bleach to stop the growth. You can get mold and mildew removers at Lowes or Home Depot. It sounds like you have a never ending battle. Have the mold tested first it will save you money in the long run. Good Luck

I'm going to watch for answers here, too, because I'm in the same boat. Basement flooded through my drain. Ugh.
I did see a dehumidifier formula that is supposed to help with mold and mildew at Lowe's, but I didn't purchase it yet.
I know lots use bleach and water mixture on floors. I may end up having a professional come in as well, though.

If it's an ongoing problem you have to find and eliminate the source of moisture. You may have to lift your carpet and cut and replace some of the pad and you may have to cut out a portion of drywall if it is moldy. If water has leaked down a wall, sometimes the insulatiom can hold moisture for a long time and produce mold....

about the only thing that will work is pure bleach. Get a spray bottle and fill with half bleach and half water and spray the effected area. Let it stand for a few minutes then with gloves and a scrub brush, it will just brush off. The bleach will keep it from coming back so quickly. Make sure it is well venilated.
