No, we aren't safer using bombs on strangers.
Separate question: how to eliminate the airport security delays. require EVERY passsenger --every passenger!-- to carry a knife or other weapon. Lock and reinforce the cockpit doors.
If there's an attempt at hijacking, the passengers have the responsibility to mob and stab to death the troublemakers.
Flight 93 was NOT the first time the passengers unbuckled and stopped a hijacker. And if we don't have the guts to stop it, we deserve the inconvenience and the police state that is being incubated.

If the "strangers" were jihadi psychopaths plotting another 9/11 it may well make us all safer. We do not randomly bomb people for the h of it. We target those we feel are a direct or indirect threat to our nation and its people. True, some 'civilians' sometimes get bombed in the process, but this is usually because, unlike us, the other side hides among and shields themselves with innocent people 1) to discourage us from bombing them, and 2) to make maximum propaganda capital out of it when it does happen. Try to remember: the folks we are fighting routinely blow up civilians and saw off the heads of helpless hostages on camera for Arab TV distribution.

no, unfortunately, because this nation needs to be open to business from outside to function well.
some people in some places have resources we need to function well and without our money pouring to them theyd still be burning camel dung to keep warm at night if not for the influence of the 'western world'.
I assume some would rather set back the clock to the dark ages...so we struggle.

Kill them all? Don't think so. The latest news I have is that we are NOT safer. The war in Iraq has recruited a lot more "Islamofascists" (god, what a moronic term) than would have joined the Jihad if the U.S. were not so involved in the Mid-East.

no, it's like walking down the street and punching strangers pre emptively, because one of them might punch you - so ought to punch them first, just in case! Problem is, eventually someone's gonna gang up on you, and kick your a.s.s!

That's silly.
Bombs don't kill people, only people kill people.
