I am understand the impression that you can just delete them. Look for a "delete all" option.

Yes, you can delete the phone listings, as well as anything else. However, if you sell it to anyone else, the phone can be hacked and data retrieved.

The article below - talking about phones bought on EBay - shows you just what can be found out about your life. They reccommend destruction of the phone.

Another thing - even if you don't have service on this phone, as long as you keep it charged, it can be used to call 911. There was a law enacted about that. So, put a charger and an old cell phone in each family car; a good way to keep them safe without those big phone bills.

If you're donating them to a good cause (which I encourge), You should browse your address book, go to options, and then delete. Once done, remove your SIM card in the back of the phone (usually behind the battery). Also delete your history from the call history (recieved and dialed).

Go to the System Settings menu in your phone. Somewhere in there (and it may take some hunting to find it w/o the manual) is an item that allows you to Master Reset your phone. That will wipe out everything: phone book, timers, user-defined stuff.

I just read an article about this and they said that there really wasn't a good way. It said to destroy or keep your old phones. Somebody may have a different answer for you, but that's what the article said.
