Start volunteering at the local animal shelter, that will at least begin to prove your commitments and responsibility.

Well, if you already own pets & don't look after them properly, why on earth would you need MORE pets?!?
But, let's just say - I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here - that you take care of them perfectly right & they lead happy & healthy lives.
I wanted Fancy Mice REALLY badly. My parents were against it. Mother is scared of rodents. Dad didn't want to go against her. I did so much research that I knew exactly everything about them. What to feed them. How to house them. The expenses. The lifespan. Health issues. Varieties. Absolutely everything! I typed up a 6 page report on the benefits of me owning mice. I also wrote up a budget of how much it would cost to initially start up a cage/tank for them with all the toys & accessories required & then how much it would cost to feed them on a weekly basis.
Everyday, at every chance I could, I casually threw into conversation random mousefacts. I presented everything to my parents & persisted without acting immature about it & chucking hissy fits. I proved to them that this wasn't a silly idea that I was going to get over anytime soon or at all. I showed that I was serious about wanting Fancy Mice & had made the effort to find out all that I could & save up enough $$$ to purchase every required.
They gave in. They simply couldn't find any valid argument as to why I shouldn't have my mice because I proved that I would be the one feeding, cleaning & financially supporting my pets.
Hope that helps.
Also, hamsters don't tend to be very hand tame. Mice live better in pairs or groups (preferably girls as they smell less & don't get dominant), puppies are HARD work, expensive, take time & patience to train, socialise etc. Crabs, personally aren't very interactive. You can't pat them. Walk them. Play with them. Simply only sit & watch them.

Begging is immature. It just proves to your parents that you're not responsible. Keep showing them that you can take care of your other animals and hopefully they'll get you a new one.
Besides, why do you need another pet when you have some already?

Your parents are just trying to show you that an animal of any type relies on you and you alone to be responsible for its feeding, care, and to know when it requires medical attention. If you do not do all these things with your animals that you have now then, until you can and show them you can without being told to on a regular basis don't expect them to buy or aquire another. Good Luck and oh; go check your animals water, food, etc.....

Remind your parents of the pet they had/wanted as a child and all the fun/sadness this caused them.
Remind them that owning a dog may reduce your parents home insurance policy and add security
Remind them that a pet teaches responsibility and kindness which im sure your parents want you to learn.

All right, here's what you do.
1. Play sick.
2. Whatever your stupid doctor brings you, throw it outside the window.
3. Then when finally your parents go berseck, ask them to accept your last wish.
4. Then you get the kind of pet you want.
5. Then after getting your pet, dance on their heads and order them to take care of it from now on.

In my experience, go out, buy the most adorable hamster/bird/puppy/crab/mouse you see, then, mess up the fur a little bit, and tell them it was abandoned, and would have DIED if you hadn't RESCUED it. Oh ya, and give it a name so you can introduce him to your parents.
OR
take the little critter home, and hide it for a few days, (with food, water, etc), then introduce it to your parents, and show them how well you've been able to care for "Cute little. *insert name here*"

Beg for a snake or a tarantula or something else that your parents are afraid of. Beg like crazy. Then, eventually, just "give up" and "settle for" a puppy or something like that.

Well, they are wanting you to show them that you will be responsible enough. If you have chores around the house, make sure they are completed on time and then talk to them again and allow them to reevaluate their answer. Show them how responsible that you are. Then when and if you get a pet follow through and take care of your new pet.
