You'll see there was something attaching the curtain to Toto's collar. Apparently a trainer to the right of the screen simply called him over.

Toto was just like "WOW that curtain looks really tasty!" so he went *BITE* and then his tooth got stuck in the fabric so he pulled it to detangle his tooth and oh my there was the wizard hiding behind it =)
