Lots of trouble! You would not be able to work for a living and maybe live on the streets in Toronto, Vancouver or where ever. If you were discovered you would be sent right back.

However, I know of people who came to Canada as visitors and then applied for refugee status. It's a long drawn out process and you would have to provide plausible proof that you would be in danger of losing your life if you returned.

Once your application is accepted for process you have to take instructions for language (unless you speak English or French already) and for job training to become employable. You can't get a job until your application is approved and you become landed immigrant.

The best and proper way is to apply at a Canadian Embassy from outside Canada.

I've worked (in Canada) as a volunteer with and for refugees ever since the "Boat People" after the Vietnam war.

A visit to a penitentiary for about five years, and then deportation. Don't try it, sport.
