Even the most hardest times in our life's has a point to it..
It's a test on how we can handle what God puts our way..

Sara, I see that's not an easy question. This question is being made since mankind came to awareness, 3 and a half billion of years ago. Despite previous attempts made here, I hope you're still searching for this answer and, in fact, I hope you'll find your OWN answer, as it should be.
Now, what I can offer you is only MY answer, which is only real and true to me. From my point-of-view, life in this planet is just a mere atom, something physically insignificant, if compared to the whole Universe. Nevertheless, our existences can be assured of free-will. To me, free-will is one of the Universe' mechanisms and, as the Universe itself, it was never created and it will never end. It simply exists.
Let's pretend, for a second, that you are the only person responsible for your own existence (which, from my point-of-view, is true). If you're the only one to blame or congratulate for anything that goes wrong or great in your existence, then it is reasonable to believe that you had previously selected, prepared and planned this existence? If so, then you could only have done that by making use of your free-will, is that correct? And, in this case, your question rapidly comes up again: what is the point of living? Well, if you really have chosen this existence, one thing we could understand is that you're seeking to achieve something greater than you have or than you are. Could this be true? If so, then whatever you're looking for, it ought to be BETTER than what you have or what you are? We hope so. Then, what would be better? To look for the higher moral ground? To relate with people, struggling to understand them and tolerate their use of free-will when it does not fit our own concepts of right and wrong?
Sara, if you answered (if you answered inside your mind) to most of this questions with a "yes", then maybe you can come to understand that the point of living is actually to 1) work hard to improve oneself intellectually and morally; 2) gradually decrease one's environment resources consumption and pollution; 3) relate with other human and non-human beings looking only at their best; and perhaps 4) to achieve higher levels of one's awareness.
Of course all this can be totally wrong, Sara. As I mentioned above, this is only my perspective. One way or another, it may have helped you to make some more questions.

You never know if your life could turn around. So keep your head up...Life is so short :(
Sometimes I feel down in the dumps but I persevere and think about the future...Focus on something that will keep you positive. For me its sticking to music, or the drums. And you don't have to start a new hobby, just love and treat yourself and love any aspect of life...thats a good start. Personally I think we're created for a reason but we don't see the big picture yet. Always look on the bright side!!

You will never find happiness if you look for a purpose for life. Find your own purpose. The point of life, if there were one(which there is not) is irrelevant. Live your life for you and dont worry about the rest of the universe.

Well I think every human being on the planet has asked themselves that question. We are not made more by the things of the world but rather we are diminished to the extent that we try to get anything of the world to be something behind us which we can hide. We think there is something out there that is going to make us happy when we need to understand that the only goal you need to have is to make yourself happy and think you are enough.

Don't even go there!!!...I just lost a friend of 17 years. She killed herself. She left behind her family, children, husband and all of her friends...We are all suffering because of her death. She left us all behind, still in shock, not knowing why this happened. I am so mad at her for what she did. But I can't tell her because she is gone. There was so much more for her to see in life...Her successes, her children grow...Life is a gift and she threw it away....Annie!!!...Why did you do this to us!!!...What ever was hurting you doesn't compare to how we are hurting for you!!!!
Don't go there...
