Alienware makes top of the line computers, if you can afford them they are great, but being top of the line they are expensive. Now to address a few things other answers said, you could not even come close to building a $10000 alienware for $2000, not even CLOSE. You can save a little by building one yourself, but not everyone wants to do that. By the way they are owned by Dell, so if you trust Dell then you should trust Alienware.

Alienware computers are great if you have lots of money but creating an identical system buying computer parts from newegg.com and assembling them will save you hundreds of dollars.

They are atrociously designed I think. EVERYONE knows you have one when you use it. They are, however light years ahead of other computer companies in terms of gaming. Prices are pretty good for their capabilities. I would reccommend them if you are running graphics intensive games, even though you can use them for normal stuff. They are a little much for the average computer user.

They are worthless...
overpriced, too much hype, bad customer service, they break a lot, and they use the newest technology out in the market(prone to more problems)
Go with something else.
And Dell..
Don't get me started on them either.

Ok some are $10,000. But YOU can build the same exact thing for $2,000! So yes they sucks *** unless you are a very rich person.

If you have a lot of money to waste, great. Otherwise eh...not that much better than everything else. (ie - Dell)
