My quintet (two violins, two violas, and a cello) are looking for some quintets to play in a competition that are more difficult than the Mozart quintets. I'm having a surprisingly difficult time finding any besides the Beethoven Storm Quintet.

Any good pieces in mind?

no, Brandenburg Concertos are mostly for string orchestras or quartets, and for a competition, arranged pieces are a no-no.

i think this link has some significant viola quintet pieces:

good luck.

What about Brandinburgs Concerto? (spelling may be off, sorry). I played it in a quartet. It's not DIFFICULT, like a 10 on a scale of one to ten, but it's a crowd pleaser!!!
I wish I still played Viola!!! I MISS it!!!
