it is better to keep your mouth shut and look like a fool than to open it and remove all doubt

Here is my policy, I keep my yap shut unless I am asked a direct question by a superior.. They can assume whatever they want, I don't care.
well, I will edit this a bit...my bossy eldest sibling called for a secret family meeting and I never replied, so I assume that person is assuming plenty...

I believe so. Just look at Mark McGwire. The public is completely against him now.
By the way Y/A doesn't care if you incriminate yourself. They will still give you a violation.
Mwah!

I think no answer is worse than a bad answer, but thats because I'm a pessemist and assume the worse if I hear nothing.

Sometimes it seems like when you do not say anything, people automatically assume that you are guilty. But, if you say something, at least they have the chance to find out if it is true or not!

Just let them assume.
They always assume what they want to; and probably wouldn't believe you anyway. (Plus there's the added effect that when they believe soemthing that isn't true, it puts them one step closer to deth.)
[legal disclaimer..."deth" is not to be misconstrued here as meaning "DEATH"; even though the two may sound exactly the same.
"deth" here is meant to mean, perhaps, 'a small stream, a rill, also a gutter.
"gutter" here is not meant to imply "HELL"]

No. If they don't have an answer from you it doesn't matter what they assume they don't have proof. If you give them answers they can search for evidence that contradicts you and if they find it arrest you.
