Something is the source of your pleasure, abundance, good, and personal power. You either think that God is the energy of your own enfoldment, or other things are the source of happiness. If you look to money to bring pleasure, personal power or good, this vision of one world will cost you the vision of another. The mind cannot serve two masters. Everybody is seeking God they just do not know it. Everybody is searching for that sense of power, fulfillment and joy. Human beings go for what they think will bring them pleasure. Sex, money, relationships, and other things that bring us pleasure are not bad. They just cannot bring you fulfillment, pleasure, or good that is lasting.

I would like to think that someday my life will amount to more than a statistic. I would like to think that there is at least a remote possibility that my life will have an impact upon the world that society might appreciate and comprehend.
Unfortunately this is unlikely. It is my opinion that the vast majority of mankind it far too fickle, shallow and stupid to appreciate much of anything but what serves their own selfish interests on an individual basis and most do not even appreciate that.
The average person does not ponder for even a moment the incredible complexity of life itself.
It is my opinion that people are simple and stupid- much like sheep.
The vast majority of them deserve tombstones that would read as follows:
"Here lies John Smith, who lead a trivial existence that was begun and ended in ignorance with the loss of a single reflective thought."
I am of the opinion that much of life is taken for granted, underappreciated and barely comprehensible to the majority of the population and try every day to think of a reason why I should bother contributing something to a society too stupid to appreciate it or even understand it.
I would like one day to find something to give my own life meaning and satisfy the urge to escape from the mundane triviality of mere existence but have no idea what that could possibly be if I feel the rest of the world is undeserving of it.
The best that I can hope for is to somehow find a way to escape the abyss of mediocrity without betraying my beliefs about the rest of the world. All I can hope for in the meantime is that the rest of the world will eventually convince me that I'm wrong. Given the state of the world today and the magnitude of it's problems I find it almost inconceivable that it will ever happen.
In the end, I'm not altogether certain what it is I'm really searching for, all I know is that I fear I will never find it.
Should it turn out that I've entirely misunderstood the question, I'm also trying to find my remote.

A way to let my self relax. I am the type of person who feels the need to take care of every one and every thing. My doctor says that is why I am having such bad migraines, and suffer from insomnia.

i guess.. i'm searching for...contentment in life, regardless of my situation. the ability to be happy, or as close to happy as i can get. the ability to be patient with everyone. to empatthize. yeah. :)
