Why do people always have to make things racist?

Some of the responses are SO racist, one can only wonder if the cloak of anonymity is what allows some people to rant and vent as they do. Unlikely they would sound the same in a face to face situation. And some, probably, are just trying to get a reaction from other people. I believe it's called 'stirring the pot'.

I dont think it intentional. Sometimes things just get taken the wrong way, too much gets read into them, or someone overcompensates in an attempt to relate to someone else whose life they recognize to be very different from their own. They very fact that society is presently so conscious of race also makes things more uncomfortable. A person who normally doesnt think of racial differences, can find themself in a situation where race is so much on the focus that they become uncomfortably aware of it. This very knowledge can make them nervous and clumsy in their speech. They may choose their words with extra care only to find that they still come out wrong, are mis-construed or just generally misinterpreted. That's not to say that there arent racists. There certainly are; but I believe that, on occasions, they are temporary and circumstantial (temporary in terms like: temporary insanity or brought on by the environment or situation.) Generally, speaking, people, regardless of race, are just trying to get by, living life and taking care of business in an ever increasingly difficult, complicated and frustrating world.
