YES!
We know that smoking is bad for us. We know that the cigarette companies put addictive agents in them. If I am not ready to quit then there is no point. When I am ready to quit, I will.
Last night, my husband and I went to a music concert at a medium size venue. During an intermission we went to go have a smoke outside and they were regulating the amount of people that were allowed to go outside and smoke! My husband started to yell at the security guy (it wasn't his fault) so I grabbed my husband and blew past the security so we could get out.
It was nuts...

Perhaps, since non smokers should not go to places people smoke!
I smoked for years and quit. Hardest thing I did except for a year in Vietnam!
Fresh smoke is something that doesn't exist! All in your mind! All smoke is stale!
I find it hard to breath in a smokey area, and I hate to smell like smoke! I can walk down a hall and know a smoker has been there!
I guess it has to be a 2 way street as it is legal to smoke. If you want to kill yourself that is your business!
I find it interesting that New York City is trying to pass a law making it a crime to sell fried foods! What are we becoming? Russia isn't that bad!!

Even while I was a smoker (2 packs a day) I was amazed at the rudeness and inconsideration of smokers and their habits. Now that I am a non smoker, I am embarrassed at how bad I must have smelled, and I don't want to be even in the same county as cigarette smoke now, let alone a restaurant.

i agree with you. just like the drinking laws go too far. cigarettes are legal, but you can only enjoy them "outside" like dogs. it's unbelievable. someone whines, and we all have to bend to their will. when will we take OUR america back!!! not just the cigarettes either, everything else. it's become impossible!!! absolutely impossible to enjoy life without......................well nevermind. i feel you hun. of course there are those who bought into the second hand smoke propaganda. over the top campaigning, but it worked. wonder why those folks who's parents smoked in the 30's 40's and 50's etc....... why their lives weren't cut short? but suddenly because "someone" of course we have no idea who coined the phrase "second hand smoke" everyone becomes a believer. lol. you'll get lot's of grief for this question, wouldn't be surprised if someone "reports" it. but i DO understand where you're coming from. i've seen it. smokers do get bullied quite a bit.

I do like a good smoke a beer and a game of golf. Then a brat after the first 9 and a smoke and then back to the beer and smokes..
We can no longer smoke after dinner in Arkansas.. These @ss holes don't understand they don't have to eat in the smoking places if they don't want to. But it is a victory for religion and they get their way. God don't want you to smoke so it is now out lawed in whole states. Religion has to go. First Islam then Christianity. I am tried of the brainwashing, greed and controling nature of religion. I say outlaw religion in public places as well. It is not needed it only makes war.

to respond to your question, I dont imagine its a lot as they imagine they are going to advance maximum cancers because it truly is non those who smoke hate the act, scent, and any believed well being probability linked by it to that end they offer the impact of being down upon any smoker. they think about them interior the same classification they think about those who're no longer clean, low income, low classification, etc. definite, it truly is discrimination even though it isn't unlawful discrimination. To be secure by regulation for discrimination you should first fall below a federal secure classification. those contain Gender, Race, nationwide starting place, shade, Familia status, incapacity, and Creed. some states even upload age to their list of their very own state's structure. Smoking doesnt fall in any of those categories. i trust that the authorities is stuck contained in the crossfire of non those who smoke and those who smoke and changed into made to act on it. for sure non those who smoke and well being advitist have alot louder mouths than those who smoke and they were given their aspect throughout the time of. Alot of issues are risky and anybody does something on a daily foundation it truly is risking no matter if that is unexpected or lengthy time period well being probability so Im gonna throw that theory of second hand smoke out the window. It has no presedence. A well being probability over all is questionable too with human beings in no way being round smoke and coming up lung maximum cancers and emphazima to that of George Burns residing till age ninety 9 with a cigar in his mouth. i'm a smoker who respects others who do no longer smoke yet I do experience that i are not getting that in go back. I dont understand merely 50 yrs in the past smoking changed into allowed everywhere without bitching and moaning. Even in hospitals, yet now that the medical field has pinned maximum cancers to cigarettes and human beings without delay are gagging contained in the area of smoke??? C'mon, its a teach and a ***** to ***** the way I see it. i am going to step out side bc you dont choose the smoke stained walls or the scent contained in the air, no project, no longer bc of the "maximum cancers probability". I wont smoke in restuarants bc you're ingesting thats ok too. yet lay off, outdoors is open and loose to all that live on this earth. Im hurting merely myself and that i have that authentic. Dont tell me i will not smoke in or on issues I own which includes my abode ( I dont besides bc of the scent and stained walls), vehicle, or resources it truly is my authentic.

I don't know that they're being discriminated against, but the anti-smoking crusade is lame. If people want to smoke, let 'em. If you don't want to smoke, don't. As long as smoking is confined to the smoking section of a restaurant, I don't see what the problem is.

Yes, smokers are being discriminated against, and as someone who smoked for thirty years, I say that's just too diddlydam bad!
IF ALL smokers made certain that their smoking (1) never impacted another person with second-hand smoke, and (2) carried sufficient insurance such that all their future smoking-related illnesses were covered and would not draw upon public funds AND provided adequate liability to cover any accidents that resulted from their smoking - THEN I'd say to them "More power to ya, ya smoking fools. Go 'head and kill yourselves!" If it's psychotic to want to protect my granddaughters from smokers, then I'm psycho to the max, Jack! Semper Fi, smoking suckers!

No. Non smokers shouldn't have to breathe in smoke just because smokers like to smoke after eating.
And you'll be surprised to know that I am a former smoker and even when I did smoke, I thought it was very rude to smoke in front of non smokers.
