I was dating this white girl from Maine, and she have some racist friends. I am a Latin guy, this girl friend of mi ex told her that she doesn't like spanish people....Can you believe that my ex never step up for me!!!! Another thing, this girl has total control over my ex...that was a non ending fight...
And even when this girl is not the best influence on her and she knows it, she did rather all the time listen to her than me.....

If her mind is made up, move on. It's not you to be supplicative. The world doesn't revolve around her. There's more females in the world than males. And a good percentage of them look good, and are compatible with your personality. Forget her.

My daughter is Indian...

My son's girlfriend is black. I personally brought my son and his girlfriend together. They are very good for each other.

As for myself? I'm Danish.

There is one thing that I taught my children. If you feel you are being held back because of race, gender, or color of skin, you're probably right. The only thing you don't understand is that it is you that is doing the holding.

Sure you will be met with ridicule. I know... I have been all my life because my name is the same as that of a cartoon character. Most people that are inclined to ridicule will look for any reason to do so.

Think about this... I read in the paper about a Miami author that speaks out vigorously against acts of racism. He talks very strongly on behalf of the black community and how they are treated so poorly. But, don't be fooled by his actions as he only seeks to keep the racism strong in your hearts. He sells papers... If it weren't for the emotions and hatreds that he builds in you, he'd be out of a job.

You can not change people, you can only change yourself... And, the perception of others around you by your own actions.

I think you either demand respect or move on...Something similar happened to me-and it was with someone that was just as black as me(from Nigeria, West Africa)! When I 1st met my husband, his people always seemed to be saying this word around me, so I asked what it was. My hubby says its "akata". I say, "what does it mean?" It has a bunch of different meanings, mostly meaning a 'wild, uncontrollable animal' but its used to describe African-Americans and is very derogatory.

Well, you could imagine my surprise to be discriminated against by people who don't even know me, let alone someone with black skin like me! I nipped it in the bud right there and let them know it was unappreciated and for all of them to never use that word in my presence again.

You see? I demanded respect by confronting the situation head-on, and now when we go to African functions, my husband warns everyone in the room not to even whisper the word "akata" in my presence.

Your ex is a follower and you can't do anything about that she has to out grow it or get really hurt by this chic, move on it's no hope.

Sorry to say, but sometimes we turn a blind eye to who is really at fault. Not meaning to be harsh, but if your girlfriend loves you she will stick up for you. She controls her own life not her friends.

Seems to me like you should count your blessings that you're not with that self centered follower anymore!
