If a complete stranger were to ask that, I would most definitely DENY.
Why? Well, by way of your explanation up there, someone I've never had any prior communication with cannot be termed a 'friend' and as such cannot be added. Who knows what motives he/she has for wanting to be included. It could be as trivial a reason as liking your 360 page colour, or if you have a picture posted, liking the way you look.
Also if you look at the Yahoo! 360 page, you must surely notice that certain information can be denied from people who are not on your friends' list. My blog entries, for instance, can only be viewed by my friends as they may contain things that I do not wish strangers to read.
If this person is truly genuine in wanting to be your friend, Hunter, he/she would write you an email introducing himself/herself and provide some reasons why you should respond. Perhaps he/she has been reading your answers in YA and finds you interesting. This person can even answer the questions you've posted in YA, since how one answers questions can tell others a bit (not much, just a tad) about oneself.
With so many sickos on the net, I feel we just need to be that extra cautious, don't you think?

Yes, after I've looked at their profile. You can always delete pervs and the ones who do the "friend collecting" that never talk to you... Sometimes people add you because they like your profile, blogs, etc. and want to know you better. Having a stranger add you isn't always a bad thing.

I will most likely accept them. I am a very bored man. If someone entertains me for a season after accepting them.. they stay. if they bore me .. they go.
